The Burner High Launch Fairway Woods are designed to launch the ball high and far with more accuracy and less spin. The weight in this club has a 35% lower CG (center of gravity) than previous Burner models promoting more distance and carry. The lighter, graphite shaft produces faster swing speed which equals more distance. The triangular shaped clubhead seems large when addressing the ball, increasing confidence. This club is very forgiving in off-center hits. It has a great feel and sound at impact - It seems like the ball jumps off the clubhead.

The Burner Tour Launch Fairway Woods are similar to the Burner High Launch. The difference is the Tour Launch has a more forward CG location which is preferred by the more experienced, better player. It has a 17% lower CG than previous Burner models. This ultra deep location makes the club easier to use while being quite forgiving on miss-hits. Also, the Tour launch has a 70 gram shaft compared to a 49 gram shaft for the Burner High Launch.

Another great fairway wood is the Taylormade Burner TP. Preferred by the tour pros and scratch golfers this is one powerful golf club. The tour shaped clubhead exudes confidence at address. The Burner TP has a more forward CG location which enables you to hit a lower more controlled ball. This is a less forgiving club with a heavier shaft and is a great club for those who can handle it.

A very popular club is the Taylormade Burner V Steel fairway wood. This club has an extremely light shaft which promotes faster swing speed for added distance. A large clubhead produces long ball fight even on off-center hits. A lower back CG  means a high and long hit. It has a unique V-shaped sole which aids you when making contact with the turf and ball giving you more control. The Taylormade V Steel fairway wood is versatile and powerful and a great club for the high handicapper.

The r7 CGB Max fairway woods are a little different than most woods. They have 3 adjustable weights allowing you to change the trajectory of up to 22° for a slight fade or draw. This club has a triangular shape allowing you to hit the ball high and deep. The large titanium clubhead has a very high MOI (moment of inertia) making it very forgiving and easy to hit. It is one of the better balanced fairway woods, giving you confidence when addressing the ball.

The Taylormade r7 Draw fairway wood can be looked at in this way. It can help a golfer either hit the ball longer by using a draw or hit the ball longer by straightening out a slice. It has a rear CG position which will give you a higher launch and long hit. Moving the CG closer to the shaft makes it easier to rotate the face properly during the swing. You can easily get comfortable with this club allowing your swing to be smooth and easy.

One last Taylormade fairway wood to mention is the Burner Rescue Hybrid. This clubhead is 7% larger than the ever popular Taylormade's Rescue Dual Hybrid. A very high MOI promotes forgiveness and long, straight shots on off-center hits. The shaft is super light which means faster swing speed for longer distance. The clubface far back CG position enables you to keep the ball in the air for a long time - long carry time, soft landing. The key benefit with this club is the increased forgiveness on miss-hits allowing the golfer with a decent round to keep it that way.
